The Bossman is a primary ally in MADNESS: Project Nexus Arena Mode, allowing the Player to bring in Recruits for missions.
Personality
In the start of Arena Mode, Bossman acts as a homeless squatter in the previously-ruined HQ for the player, attacking them on sight and claiming territory. After being defeated, Bossman offers to help the player fix up the HQ by cleaning. For the rest of the game, he gladly helps the player find recruits. Despite his first impression of aggression, he becomes open to telling the player how to get their operation started, introducing them to Dave, Skinner M.D. and Quartermaster Bert along with the Sleepwalker Bedchamber.
Trivia
- Before arena mode was revamped Bossman played a different role, and would instead put you into a cage with other potential hires to kill each other, the arena character being selected upon victory.
- Bossman could've stolen or worked with Nexus Core to get the sleepwalker bedchamber.
- During the intro to arena mode, when the player tells Bossman that he's going to look for the circuit breaker for the building, Bossman mentions that he's "Used to run a power station outside of Nexus City, so I know a thing or two." this confirms that Bossman used to be the manager of the Power Station that was singlehandedly operated by Rich, Bossman's Note can be found in that same level.
- Bossman's outfit consists of some items originally worn by characters in the story campaign: he wears the same bandana as Hank, the same reading glasses as Nexus Concierge and the same beard as Rich.
