Pit Stop is the first available arena mission in MADNESS: Project Nexus' Arena Mode. It features the Player fighting against Bandits and Zeds to while protecting gas pumps.

Briefing

"To reach the farthest corners of Nevada and rake in some real profit, we're gonna need good ol' diesel to fire up the helicopter. Unfortunately, bandit tribes and other wasteland denizens will hear us coming for miles.

You battle them off while the Pilot siphons off the gas, and we'll split before things spin out of control."

The Pit Stop is almost entirely populated by the Bandit faction, containing Outskirt Bandits, Survivor Bandits, and Bandit Brutes. As the waves progress, Zeds will be drawn to the gas pumps, making combat more of a challenge. Endless waves introduce more difficult enemies like Fanatics, Prophets, and Graveseekers, as well as Abominations.

Layout

The layout of Pit Stop is a fairly simple singular medium-sized room. The center contains the four gas pumps which need to be protected from the Bandits attempting to destroy them. The right side features a wall that will progressively be damaged by enemies, allowing more Bandits to swarm the pumps. The left side contains a partially walled-off recess where Bandits will gather. If left uninterrupted, a massive group will launch a full-scale attack in unison, making the protection of the pumps extremely difficult.
