The Vampires are creatures who prowl the night and stalk unsuspecting victims before ambushing them and feasting on their blood. All Vampires have fangs, and wear ramshackle leather armor, following a gothic punk aesthetic. Additionally, they all wear LED goggles with randomly scrolling text.

Vampires are incredibly tough in battle and can rise from the dead after most fatal blows. However, they are not without weaknesses, as they are weak to fire, and cannot survive executions or goring deaths. Upon death, a Vampire will combust into flames and erupt in a writhing fireball.

Vampires also possess the ability to make other standard enemies into their own with their bite executions, just like Zeds. Punks will make more Punks and Bruisers will make more Bruisers. This can be easily seen in Playground Mode where their greater individual strength makes converting higher-tier enemies much easier than a Zed. These new Vampires will swap out their clothing for the usual Vampire clothes but keep various head accessories like eyewear. Vampire Punks will have their hair changed but Bruisers won't.

Arena Mode

The Vampires make their sole appearance in the contract mission "Fickle Friends", when night has fallen on Nevada Central. They can be observed stalking the Player from the shadows on their way to the meeting with the VendeVice, and the glow from their goggles can be seen as they sit quietly in the back of the party room of Club Advent. After the Toughs raid the club, the Vampires finally show up in person after the player has made their way to the parking garage, attacking both them and the Toughs. They infest the streets as the player has to make their way back to the bus stop. Just as the Vampires have seemingly cornered the player, Doc shows up and runs some over with his car before picking the player up and driving off.

Units

Vampire Punk

Vampire Punks are common vampires with yellow accents and gothic hairstyles. Vampire Punks rely on their claws to take swipes at victims, and from a distance will leap at them in an attempt to grapple them and take bites out of them. For their durability, Vampire Punks are incredibly agile, able to dodge, recover quickly from ragdolling, and even possessing advanced Tac-Bars. When in groups, Vampire Punks will surround their target and attack from multiple angles.

Vampire Bruiser

Vampire Bruisers are larger Vampires with no hair and magenta accents. The Bruisers are much slower than regular Vampires, but can launch themselves in a burst of speed in an attempt to grab a victim and bite them. They also can perform a lethal charge attack where they can ram at the enemy at high velocity; often ragdolling and dizzying them, leaving them vulnerable to execution. To complicate matters, they also possess advanced Tac-Bars despite their size, and are as every bit as durable as their common brethren. Fortunately, should a Bruiser sustain too much damage, they will be staggered and can be executed to be put down permanently.

Bloodsucker

Bloodsuckers are a special variation of Vampires, wearing regal clothing, top hats and reading glasses. They only make an appearance in a secret encounter in the mining sector of the story campaign's level hub. They emerge from their coffins and attack when one interacts with a cursed book.
